“No homo” …wow I have never even heard that one before! I think it’s pretty lame when straight people say that shit. It’s disrespectful. But when gay people say “that’s gay” around each other it’s kinda funny. I guess that’s sortof a double standard, but whatever.
I hate it when able bodied people use the world lame to describe their frustration with ignorant straight people (or others) using the word gay to describe how undesirable or frustrating something is. Either we accept that there are common vernacular uses of all kinds of words that are mildly (or majorly) offensive to some group of people that are not being used in a overtly derogotory manner or we try really hard to weed out all of the potentially offensive words from our common usage. We can’t have it both ways…
