A butch lesbian, at least in the ideal, is not the best of both worlds, male and female — she is a new world. She is the discovery, every day, of how a woman can be a woman without the trappings of femininity. The set of a woman’s shoulders, the way she crosses her legs, the angle of her hips when she walks — all of these are signals of butchness. And we know it when we see it. That kind of recognition takes place in the gut.

“Magma from the mantle intruded the deep crust and cooled slowly. Pyroxene and olivine started to crystallize from the magma. Since these where heavier than the surrounding magma, they sank to the bottom of the magma chamber where they became layered. Later, the remaining melt intruded higher levels of the continental crust, where it cooled and crystallised as tønsbergite, larvikite or lardalite. Some million years later the rock was carved and polished by glaciers during the ice age.” via

Anonymous asked: What do you think about peope saying “Thats so gay” and “No homo” ?

“No homo” …wow I have never even heard that one before! I think it’s pretty lame when straight people say that shit. It’s disrespectful. But when gay people say “that’s gay” around each other it’s kinda funny. I guess that’s sortof a double standard, but whatever.

I hate it when able bodied people use the world lame to describe their frustration with ignorant straight people (or others) using the word gay to describe how undesirable or frustrating something is.  Either we accept that there are common vernacular uses of all kinds of words that are mildly (or majorly) offensive to some group of people that are not being used in a overtly derogotory manner or we try really hard to weed out all of the potentially offensive words from our common usage. We can’t have it both ways…
